"Too quiet." She replied quietly to her remark about how quiet her house would be. The only noises were the stairs creaking, breathing, or her parent 'talking' about their business or her career as a swimmer. The forty inch Tv in the living room was hardly ever on and Adri never dared make loud noises of her own those two hours every night she had to herself. She suppressed the sadness she suddenly felt, not because she would miss it. She was sad because she wouldn't be sad. It was a rather bad thing to not miss the only thing you know. Or was it?
She puzzled the idea over in her head as she continued to watch the world go by outside with a growing horror of what lay ahead of them. "Perhaps." Adri allowed to the girls comment, she really had no preference to when they got there, she wished the suspense was over, but she could wait. Her life was waiting, waiting for the buzzer to start swimming, waiting for her parents to OK her plans or activities. Waiting to get to the mysterious school was no different really. "I really do hope its not a joke." Adri admitted, looking down at her fingers on her knees, "My parents would be terribly furious over it." She looked out the window again, trying not to look into the girls eyes. What would she see? Annoyance? Pity? Or worst of all, hate?
